Do you think we have enough ISP’s in Kuwait? Currently we have Kems, GulfNet, Fasttelco, QualityNet, mada, and now there’s a new company called WIMD that has just joined the market.
I had the chance to talk with their representative who explained to me their concept; basically they have established a wireless network covering all Kuwait to transfer the data, unlike traditional DSL that uses landlines.
They also said users will get dedicated bandwidth so that bandwidth speed is maintained at all times, they are targeting high speed Internet market.
Above table shows their prices per year and they admit that their prices are higher than the current market prices but when quality is concerned they are the best. Hopefully I’ll be able to test them soon so I could give you my detailed feedback.

I believe they just need to fix the landlines, they can’t handle 2 mb in most places.
The good news is that this new ISP uses wireless network to transfer data so the land lines capacity issue is solved but I still have questions regarding the stability and integrity.
any idea of the available bandwidths? rates?
This is a really great solution for those who can only have 2mb connected, due to there not being the proper infrastructure. But the question is will it be efficient as the cable / lane line dsl that we are currently using.
Very good question, I will be able to answer your question when I test it very soon and will let you know.
I like the idea but I also have the same concern as YM965
My big concern !! Does this company have an license from moc? i remmber long time back when there was a same compan idea and named internet radio company and they show up also in Info. ?.. They start give and sale there service. ?…. After that moc stop them. ?. And ppl who paid get fu……
As i read in news paper b4 week. ?… Moc has cancle all internet license. ?. And give the temoprery license just for the 4 company
Very expensive prices !!! They want to rip off people??
I lived in scotland for a while and my fixed internet was 16 mbps and i payed for it 120 sterling pounds for it yearly?! Why do you multiply your prices like that?? Just few can afford to pay this kind of money?!
Generally, Kuwait is still relatively the most expensive GCC country with regards to Internet rates and also the slowest and that’s from a recent study that I saw, sadly.
Actuality this company doesn’t have ISP license, what they have is only wireless license, they can only transfer data, and what they are doing is that they buy the bandwidth from one of the ISP’s and make a pool and share the bandwidth to their customers, and if you see the ad they only mentioning the high bandwidth prices, because they cannot compete the low bandwidth prices that the ISP’s can provide.
I’m going to try them shortly to write a full review about their service quality and integrity and I’ll ask them about the license.
