Today I had a sneak peek tour to check the progress of the remaining districts that will open shortly at the Avenues Phase III, the Grand Avenue was indeed impressive but I think with the new districts the Avenues will become one of the ultimate shopping destinations in Kuwait and GCC. So buckle up and let’s see what is waiting for us at Phase III.
Prestige District: I took a short walk around it, it’s a Salhiya-like shopping mall yet with bigger scale, so those who seek luxury (Kash5a in Kuwaiti) will like it. it’s built on two-levels with a nice dome in the center and there will be valet parking and hands-free shopping services. Some of the high-end brands boutiques include;
Louis Vuitton
Armani
Gucci
Chopard
Dolce & Gabbana
Chanel
Dior
Fendi
Burberry

SoKu: District: It stands for South of Kuwait, they said it’s youth-oriented; a funky place influenced from New York’s bohemian Soho district. It will include Millions of Milkshakes, iHop, Kevingston, and cafe’s and restaurants. I overheard they are offering lower rate for leasing to help small businesses, though I’ve to confirm that.

Souk District: By far this was my favorite district of the three because it brings back the feeling of old Kuwait, it resembled a traditional Kuwaiti souk similar to Souk Mubarkiya. My remark is that the lanes were very narrow, so I guess it will be hard for shoppers to move around at peak hours, but other than that it was cool.

The Mall District: It looks like an extension or I could say a connecting link between the existing Avenues phase II and Phase III, it will have cafe’s and restaurants. Kidzania will be opened in this area, also there will be a gold souk. There will also be a drop-off area (main entrance) and an access to the new parking, they said the opening will be next Monday. Some of the stores that I came across;
River Island
Boots
The Body Shop
swiss line
Dune
Clair’s
mothercare
Faces
Generally tour was pleasant, but I observed that they said nothing about the traditional Bazaar, was it cancelled just like the hotel, mosque, and park?

Tazmania you always come up with the new. This shopping area is realy looks like if you are in a palace or a fancy hotel. It has been taken care of the good looking , Fancy, Luxurious aspects very well.
Will take more pics when the works are near completion, thanks bro
What happened to the Bazaar district?
When will all these open?,when will millions of milkshakes open? and most importantly will there be a bookstore in SoKu?
Opening dates vary for the remaining districts, however The Mall district will open tomorrow (Monday). My best guess is that Millions of Milkshakes is opening end of this month since Kim is coming to Kuwait at the same time & she will attend the opening.
I’m not yet sure if there will be a bookstore but I surely hope so, I’ll ask the same to their management.
This is awesome! My favorite is the Souk area.
what is the meaning of the word SoKu?
It stands for South of Kuwait, they said it’s youth-oriented.
It’s kinda like a cross between Le Villagio in Doha and Medinat Jumeriah in Dubai. The Avenues on Segway is going to seem like a lot of fun.

ive been lucky to visit phase 3 before it was done, the prestige district to be specific and the architects behind the project told me and the group I was with that all the railings are GOLD plated and that the marble used on the floor is one of the most expensive marble in the world.
As a civil engineer i know exactly what u’re talking about here, the finishing materials are eye opening.
