Our contributor writer “Houli” had a really nice visit to the Tea Factory in Sri Lanka during their summer vacation and brought us a really interesting photos for tea making process.
I love tea, with and without sugar, and I always wondered how its made and finally I got to see the way they do it.
The factory is 150 years old and was controlled by the British people and was given back to the Sri Lankans recently.
I was surprised to know that there are three types of tea (Mornintg tea, afternoon tea, and night tea).
After they dry and remove the dirts, they grind the tea leaves and create the tea grains (Coarse, medium, and soft). I was told that the medium is the best.
We tasted their normal tea and green tea and they both tasted great, much better than the other tea brands at the markets.
We recommend Sri Lankan tea, and pay the factory visit next time you are in Sri Lanka
